  2. The crown of thorns ... does anyone really believe this? Missing for 1300 hundred years just shows up in the hands of a king. I think the main point of these cathedrals is the cathedral itself, the people and the church in charge around it a human and corrupt, but while this was being conceived, designed and built, it represents something that is missing completely in the West today.
