  1. NASA was created as a dodge to make lots of high tech stuff that was useful to privatize and giveaway to establishment industrialists, and the military - period. There is no real need for this sham any more, so NASA has been defunded and is kind of nerd group now.  They idea that these incompetents are going to go to Mars seems iffy to me. This is about maintaining technological lead and making sure that technological lead and its profits stay well within and under the control of the establishment.

I used to put up with this moron because I thought his claim that he was hand-chosen by Carl Sagan ( one of my favorite heroes ) was true, and that he cared about truth and science.  Then I heard him spewing total ignorance on the subject of genetic engineering and GMOs.  The thing about science and technology is that it is such a huge field that no one can keep up with everything, so this guy is a shill that is fed what the ... for wont of a better term - establishment, wants him to say to toe the line.  When I heard him talking about stuff he has no idea about it turned my stomach and I will never listen to his condescending tripe ever again.  VOMIT
