  1. Matt Tiabbi, Tulsi Gabbard, Glenn Greenwald ... are not people I agree with much on. I would not call them any kind of Left, but they do talk about and accept many of the facts about the Ukraine-Russia situation that I agree with. I am totally against this war, because I think it as provoked by Western/US/NATO expansion. Cynically planned out and provoked and has cost hundreds of billions of dollars, and probably much more than we know, brought the European economy to its knees, kills hundreds of thousands of people, destroyed Ukraine ... and the reason given is to weaken Russia. I've heard the comment, if we can spend $100 billion dollars and destroy Russia's military that is a win? That seems incredibly backwards twisted logic to me because it's only a win if we were going to actually go into a hot war with Russia. I assume you do not support that, but correct me if I am wrong. Meanwhile all this destruction and reconstruction and burning stuff up is negatively affecting climate change, and setting any efforts to reverse it back who knows how much. I think this is probably mostly about an economic war to prevent Russia from integrating itself into the Western/European economy. That is an argument - but it was not the one that was made - and no one asked for votes for this war? The Ukrainians surely did not want it, nor the Europeans or anyone but US oligarchs and corporations. So ... how is it you seem to support this war? Or do I have that wrong?

  2. There is no Russian imperialism. Russia has always been on defense against attacked and imperialism from the West.

  4.  @agnezz4985  Doesn't matter what Eastern Europe wanted, the US reneged on the promise not to expand NATO to the East. Then the US did the same thing in Georgia. That relevant facts and reality is that if you look at all the voted and referenda Ukraine is ethnically and politically split. It is the US that provoked that into a war, which Ukraine carried out against Russian speakers in the East of the country. You can make up all the stories you and it doesn't change that reality.

  6.  @colinjohnson6454  Just say the name of two countries and that makes your argument, huh? The CIA and NATO was trying the same thing in Georgia as it was working in Ukraine. The fake subtext of this is that it is all about Crimea, that Russia annexed Crimea as the first step in a Hitlerian attempt to assault and take over Europe. One would have to be a complete idiot to believe that - but that is what is pumped out in our media since the war. It is not imperialism to try to retain a strategic port that has belonged to Russia since the 1600s and only belonged to Ukraine as an accounting error since the 50's and Krushchev. It seems like if NATO the US and the West were interested in peace there would have been a better way than wrecking the entire county of Ukraine and killing hundreds of thousands and disrupting trade and business globally.
