  1. The attacks on single payer are all specious and politically based, not to mention based on monopoly and corruption. How hard would you fight, lie, cheat and steal if you were as greedy as the insurance companies and could suck 30% of a 2 trillion dollar health care budget for doing nothing, but bringing not a penny of value to this industry? It would be a huge temptation, and I am sure most of us would succumb to it, and in fact most loser politicians who don't do anything but support this corrupt status quo would sell out to get contributions for their re-election by serving the biggest thieves of all time, bloodsuckers on the American system. Search and listen to the facts: "Steffie Woolhandler on Media Attacks on Single-Payer Healthcare" Bernie Sanders has the health care debates perfectly understood, and he can move the US forward so we are more in line with every other developed democracy in the world ... or would you rather we line up with the worst countries in the world ... what kind of leadership is that?

A supermajority of Americans favor a single-payer health care system. A large portion of health insurance premiums are paid by the government already - so the the effect on the economy would not be very much. Doctors would not be paid less or be quitting their jobs. Look at Canada or Britain, or anywhere else. Doctors in Canada are not quitting and coming to the US.
