It used to be FOX News that was the phoniest most right-wing nutso news source ... but now we have Newsmax ... ugh, terrible, BS, and mostly commercials and lies.

Gingrinch has some good points, except the one about the quality of the candidates. These are the same old sad sack soporific sleazes we have seen for decades. No a one of which 8 year ago would admit to believing in evolution, and all of which I think believe a woman raped or impregnated by a relative should be forced to bear a child. It is an indicator that our biggest problem is not the candidates it's the electorate. And that 40% of the voters who voted for non-mainstream candidates are rejecting Newt and his way of doing politics as well. We all know that to get elected G. W. Bush, W, lied and concocted the "compassionate conservative story" and talks about being a uniter not a divider, how he could work with Democrats, and how he would not nation build or have a war without a specific exit point. We would not be in the economic situation we are in today except for 1 thing ... and that is the Bush Tax Cuts, that took our debt from 6 trilion to 12 trillion, and the Bush Bailout that added another trillion of worthless crap on to that. We are so mired in debt now thanks to the Republican that we may not be able to get out. And it was all purposeful and in the plan just to destroy the social spending. This is the kind of strategy that most Americans despise from Republicans.

Trump presents himself well on some things, and then he totally goes and blows it by as someone said trying to insult and intimidate his way to the top. But he is right about the people not trusting our government, but he does not: 1) explain what is wrong with the government, like reagan he just attacks government as the problem, when the real problem is a government that answers only to money. 2) he gives no alternative. he has the guts to say he will raise taxes, which I admire him for, be we are almost at a debt of 100% of GDP, a raise of taxes needs to be specific, and the plan needs to be out there for honest economists to vet. Also a plan to keep that money from running out of the country. We are so far in debt that one of the only ways we might get up on our feet again is to raise taxes on corporations and the very rich, not keep socking it to the working class and small business. Also a one-time or two-time surtax on wealth needs to be floated where people with huge wealth are asked to pay a tax on their holdings. Trump should also have to guts to condemn and blame the Bush tax cuts which put our country on brink right before 911, and he did nothing while this debt and system continued to drag us to our knees. Jeb Bush is even now talking about more tax cuts ... the object of the Republicans seems to be to break this country terminally and then gorge on the corpse.

If it isn't government, then it's going to be industry - that's about it ... or it could be both. This internet thing of tracking people all over the place and figuring things out about them needs to be actively stopped and punished or it's going to be the norm - period.
