Whenever I looked closely at the Trinitron tubes I could notice the mask support wires, but also they all had on the left and right sides exactly halfway between top and bottom on lonely little pixel on the sides. I've always wondered about that, and thought you might mention it here. Was that for calibration or what?

  2.  Mississippi Mike  I had a Viewsonic monitor that I could not make out the individual pixels of. It would do the 1600x1200 resolution and was awesome. Cylindrical screen, Trinitron type tube. Very beautiful until it broke and I could not find anyone to fix it.
