  1. The US got them into this war. There are Rand Corporations think tank plans for attacking Russia in the Cold War by peeling off Ukraine, which was 1/3 of the Russian economy. We couped the government of Ukraine and supported their Nationalist militia in attacking Donbas to try to take back Crimea which had only been Ukrainian since the 1950s, when Crimea belonged to Russia since the 1600s. This is not Ukraine or Russia. Russia wanted to retain Crimea. The idea that Russia could take over Europe is ridiculous - and even taking over Ukraine ... can you imagine how much money, lives and effort Russia would expend to try to pacify the resistance in Ukraine if they took over ... and that is just Ukraine. No way Russia with about 1/10th of the population of the EU would even have enough soldiers to attack Europe. And why would Putin even want to? Russia is more than three times larger than the US ... they don't have enough people to exploit their own natural resources. They are looking to do business around the world - and that is why the US started this war in secret - to keep Russia out of the EU markets so the US could dominate.
