  6. The problems are the super-rich have taken over the government, all the resources, and have contempt for the people because they have stomped them into poverty and ignorance. So both sides want to allow immigration for cheap labor and the divide society. We cannot have democracy because of the billionaires Electoral College.

A problem with AI is that we hype that it is going to be godlike, as Thiel says, so we give it control of things that can be very dangerous, and then we have to monitor it to make sure it does not "hallucinate" as they call it. If it is a stand-alone intelligence, then it will be like say a very brilliant person - but that does not mean it cannot be wrong or make mistakes, especially it if controls critical systems. Maybe what AI needs is a bilateral brain, like the human brains has, where one AI checks and argues with another AI, or even more - a council of AI beings that explain and convince a human government on policies?
