They were saying the same stuff when we had an eclipse back in the 70s back when I was a kid, only difference we had film negatives from our photographs and were instructed on how to make a viewer using old film negatives cardboard paper towel rolls etc.. actually it was a big disappointment, it got dark for like 2 minutes not much different than having a bad summer thunderstorm with black thunder heads going over.
