  2. B.S. he may have been driving too fast. The 2 officers were dressed as policepersons and you could see his handprints on the front of the car so the driver definitely saw him, hat and all. Then after he was thrown off he was run over! I don't buy the defendants account. He took a life, does he think of the family that was left behind?

  4. Been paying into the pension fund as a single person for many many years and I don't get anywhere near $2000/mth. My payment would not even pay half my rent! Shows how out of date he is, or maybe delusional!

  5. In the other report she is identified as an Asylum seeker, now in this report she is a Migrant Worker....wish they would make up their minds. Obviously this lady had medical problems and its a shame she came all this way only to pass away...I am sure the kids left behind will have her family to take care of them.

  18. Not exactly true....with the high rates of rent, mortgage rates high, people simply could not afford a roof over their heads. It includes people from all walks of life, including some pensioners who are on the lower end of the pension scale. Dare we mention the asylum seekers or illegals?  @Planet_Xplorer

  21. Yes that is true many did not survive since they did not have the same backing as Walmart & Loblaws who could afford to take a cut if necessary (Just paying less tax on profits alone). Home Depot closed up for sure. In saying that I did find that some small stores just closed up early whether out of fear or not having every day items I could not tell. Some just did not survive which is a pity. Now we are faced with another "new" one, AKA Monkeypox. There seems to be treatment if caught in the early stages which is good. It looks horrendous so I am sure it can be better handled,or at least hope so.\i think we learned a valuable lesson on acting perhaps too quickly but hindsight is not always great. @Mitch_Kelly

  31. That is not what was reported...last payment was made and the UN situation was made public. Then a few weeks ago Mr. T decided to send his minister with an additional chq for $60M - to "tide them over". Now he says he is restarting the normal payments. He is either very silly or has a death wish. We can use that money to go towards our many problems here at home. Mind you I'm sure he would be willing to give them from his own pocket.

  35. Ukraine & Russia cannot be looked at as the same as Palestine & Israel. 1. We don't send foreign aid to Ukraine or Russia. 2. Palestine has been getting foreign aid for decades, thru the UN , and its been going to Hamas to purchase weapons, building tunnels, using hospitals and schools to hide the weapons and ammunition, and training soldiers for war. The civilians also knew this sand did nothing to stop this. The UN was the agency who gave this money to Hamas. The aid was stopped by most countries who participated...then Mr. T decides to send an additional $60M as an additional payment to tide them over"....now he says he is restoring funding. Well, something is not right here. It is only going to go to Hamas for more weapons, grief and havoc. Canada Can use that money for our own problems here...."Charity begins at Home"!
