To think you've been saying that for almost 50 years... Geologically speaking that's just a blink of the eye... And maybe a few more blinks and we'll be in another ice age..

@tomcrouchman he said it because he heard it 50 years ago and people thought it was funny and it made him feel important to say it out loud which is why 50 years later he's still saying it.. and it's still demonstrates his lack of understanding of ice ages and Earth processes and science in general

@timb7328 When I was a teenager I walked across the Frozen Ohio River because it was 30 below zero for a month... Carl Sagan spoke of the paroxysms of global death and a nuclear bomb being equivalent to all of the bombs dropped in world war II and said we would have a world war II every second for the length of a lazy afternoon. I served in the Navy when The Berlin Wall fell... The other $9,900 scientists did not necessarily disagree... You only felt bombed by this ice age prediction because you listened to people repeating it who were not scientists only interested propagandists trying to belittle all science to promote oil and cigarettes...

A specific scientist said something but there were 10,000 scientists that said nothing so over the last 50 years people have now summarized it and say all scientists were saying this in the 70s when it was actually one out of 1000 or one out of 10,000 and so you too are just repeating the inaccuracies that have fueled a political debate this isn't about actual science this is about politics and oil mostly and getting someone elected. And the scientist that said we were heading into an ice age was absolutely correct because we are. Lol

@tomcrouchman I suppose in your universe people predict the future accurately 100% of the time. Would you recommend some other type of person to predict the future like a comedian or a plumber?

@michaelkeefer5674 that's okay because of aerosol masking the habitat for humanity has been retained although it's polluted and super hot if you stop burning coal it will heat up faster and everybody dies

@billhosko7723 well it seemed like a month probably went on for weeks but we were sled riding because schools were closed hell the whole city was closed
