  1. Oh the BBC! If it's not plays about the oppression of women or Apartheid on Radio 4 it's "Slavery! Yes! - It was terrible, Yes! - We should be sorry. Yes! - It was a fecking long time ago!!!! Learn from it, don't repeat it & move on! Are the BBC going to go even further back to when the Romans, Vikings & Normans were chasing the Britons up a tree?   2. The other big thing was back in the day if an African tribe beat a rival tribe in battle THEY would take slaves! They weren't all sitting around lacing daises into one another's hair!
