  2. I don't know about the democratic West's attempt to stop the spread of Communism being a "dismal failure?" It was a line in the sand & possibly put enough of a spanner in the works for countries like India & even Italy & France, where the creed could have spread, to give them time to consider other options. I think it was a just war terribly fought but the ends justified the means.

  4. I'm no fan of Israel but I haven't got a clue what you are going on about here? The Israelis launched a raid at Entebbe airport to free some hostages that were taken in a hijack situation. I don't think the Israelis ever had any intention of invading Uganda!
