I was watching a thing on another channel on the African airline Peace Air which was rather ironically grounded in Saudi Arabia owing to numerous safety breaches, most common of which was the crew, both flight & attendants, not being qualified to fly the type of aircraft being flown. There were also numerous problems with the plane itself which would have resulted in the crew actually intentionally ignoring warnings through the plane's systems whilst it was in operation! So... it still goes on!

  2. The whole thing is a bit weird. Why would the plane have combusted so quickly & extensively? The only thing I can think of in not depressurising the cabin & opening the doors is the concern over supplying the fire with additional oxygen?
