  1. You get what you pay for. I'm an Essex base minicab driver & had a pickup to go to Heathrow which is about 50 miles from us whilst an Uber had been ordered by someone in the same party to go 6 miles down the road. On the way into the job I sensed, after 25 years of doing this, that there were major traffic problems building up in an area I knew very well so made the call to go via an alternate route. The people in the Uber didn't & hit the traffic. I actually got to Heathrow FASTER than the people going the 6 miles. Professionalism, FULL background checks, local knowledge & long UK driving experience is what you might pay an additional 10 -15% for!
