  1. One song that is Bowie in a bottle is "The Buddha of Suburbia" The quirkiness, the melody, that driving guitar chorus....... I like it a lot but it wouldn't be my fav but a great song for people new to Bowie to get what he was all about!

  2. Lot of you younger guys really need to be thinking in ALBUMS when it comes to Bowie not singles. I really wouldn't bother much with what he did post his last truly great album "Scary Monsters Super Creeps" but I would bother a LOT with what he did prior to that! Literally for the record, my Top 5 Time Five Years Can You Hear me? Rock n' Roll Suicide Candidate.

Take it from an English guy who was around when Bowie was in his pomp back in the day & enjoying every note of the genius that was his music - "Can you Hear Me?" is probably his least known & yet best track. Even if you've got hair like Michael Jackson after filming a Pepsi add & teeth like Shane McGowan ANY girl would jump into bed with you if you played her that!

  9. Erm.... Would you except that the UK has a fair stab at some decent music? Would you say there was a generation of rockers that effectively wrote the playlist for most people over 40? - The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zep, Floyd, The Who, Bowie, Genesis, Dire Straits, Oasis, Radio Head, Elton John? Well I've got an album collection of over 2000 pieces now, I play at a professional level & have probably been listening to music from birth so 58 years...... we consider this guy A GOD! He has probably influenced EVERY artist to come off these islands in the last 45 years & wrote probably 3 or 4 albums that made international ALL TIME best 50 albums ever lists. I'm sorry if you are making your observation from a position of extreme ignorance not knowing the man's full canon but unless you are being a troll no one who is seriously into their music would write such a thing. There was a time from after the album "Scary monsters" in the early 80's when he sucked arse but before that..... WOW!
