  2.  NO-TO-NATO  It was too obvious a trap for him to just plunge an army into a place Russia wanted him to. Russia's stated (1st) goal was to capture Kiev do blocking Putin's desire makes perfect sense. The idiotic Russians even brought parade uniforms thinking President elensky would rush to defend Mariupol and leave the capital without defense. Surprise. Dead Russian soldiers are what Putin's fantasy caused. Before this is done Russia itself will be a lot smaller and the Russian army will be even more of a joke. More Russian regions think of exiting Russia and joining the EU and NATO every day. Putin has proven himself to be Russia's worse enemy ever.
