I don't see the point of allowing Russia to make profit while the war is continuing. The price should be set closer to the cost of production. Say $50 per barrel. Allowing profit would be an evil thing to do to a communist regime anyway. Profit is capitalism and that would be contrary to what Lenin proposed. Putin wants to recreate the USSR. We should assist him by eliminating all profit for things Russian.

@disndat8909 Biden's advisors believe war is as scary as Americans with 9mm pistols (which just about all of us have). They fear if Russia loses they will launch nuclear missiles and Biden's supporters fear that. Me, I say Bring it on Russia, you will glow in the dark for 10,000 years if you use that option, and unlike Russians a lot of Americans do have well stocked fallout shelters.

@s.m.1354 There are no such people. That is foolish talk. What there are are idiots who deliberately withhold information to gain a sense of power, that is total BS. If there is something complex, they can just explain it in 2 syllable words. OMG, oil prices will drop and the Saudi Princes and people pursuing commodity options won't make money if everyone switches to paying Russia 's oil at $50 -$55 a barrel. Does anyone except them give a fig if the rich become 'common peasant' poor, or if KSA dumps it's monarchy system and elects someone more in tune with the West way of life? The only reason we allowed OPEC to gain prestige and clout back in the early 70s was because in return they gave the West military importance, bought Western weapons, etc. and promised to oppose the USSR. But if Russia is virtually destroyed and the West gains low cost Russian oil in the process, well who cares about unemployment in the mid East? Let them move to what used to be Russia and find jobs or farm.
