Our species, Homo Sapiens, is a crudely done hodge-podge of DNA taken from a half dozen or so species of hominids and a few other species (such as frogs) (aka in Biblical terms, the clay of the world) and intentionally fabricated for unknown purpose by something else (also unknown). We are full of genetic diseases as a direct result of the caress way our geneses were spliced together, but all in all the design has persevered longer than the various root species did. We have been on this planet for about 200,000 years. We had no direct ancestor species before then, just cousins whose genes or makers borrowed. Because of the destructive effects of the ice covering everything almost nothing is known about the history of our species prior to the Great Ice Age of (about) 37,000 years ago. We concur that the movement to an agrarian life style began after the melting of the ice (about 6K years ago) and the re-emergence of civilizations. Growing food and raising herds is more efficient and easier than a life of being a nomadic hunter-gatherer.

  3. A clue not mentioned is what happened to his floatation devices? Did they get found on the beach, if not, why not? He wouldn't drag them into the swamp. If not found, then he probably never made it to shore. As stated, sharks.
