  1. This would be a lot more credible if either (or both) he hadn't been a Trump appointee or if he had been confirmed as Attorney General by the US Senate. This is a man who in 2017 claimed that Russian interference in the election of Donald Trump had been prove false. This of course contradicts statements in 2023 on Russian television by hosts and guest Duma show attendees that Russia had spent a lot of money and effort to support Trump's election as President of the US in 2016.
