  1. According to today's BBC report, Turkey introduced compulsory earthquake insurance in 1999. This is said to contain around US$ 3,000,000,000. The Turks are currently beside themselves with anger because neither heavy rescue equipment, nor shelter, nor food are readily available... I am very much in favor of immediately helping the Turks in their need with these tofu buildings. However, every helper should think carefully about whom they entrust the contribution to!
