Just because a country completely closes its dams to dry up its rivers doesn't mean it's a drought. It would be much more interesting to see what the current water level is in all the large and not just the smallest Chinese reservoir.

@babajaga158 I mentioned this alread in my initial comment towards DW News: I am interested in the current water level in all large Chinese reservoirs and the downstram water release into the shown empty rivers beds. Feel free to make a proposal how I could have highlighted this topic better...

@MrDosonhai I don't recognize too much benefit in replying to the content of your comment (which was addressed directly to me about 15 minutes ago) if it is not visible to all panelists. This kind of "off-screen communication" had already been tried out by the somewhat old-fashioned East German Stasi... and delivered rather disappointing results from a general perspective of the state, right?

@ryanotte6737 It might be wise to first look at the water levels of the reservoirs and the amount of water being released down the river before making wild claims. Certainly it is sometimes difficult to guess the hidden intention behind a measure...
