Comments by "Markus Müller" (@markusmuller6173) on "Kuwait stores pull down Indian products; Row over Prophet insult by Nupur Sharma escalates" video.
A colleague of Nupur Sharma quoted "Hadith - Sahih al-Bukhari - Book of Marriage - bukhari: 5134" on Twitter, which reads: Narrated 'Aisha: That the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old. Hisham said: I have been informed that 'Aisha remained with the Prophet for nine years (i.e. till his death)." I don't know what Nupur initially said at the TV debate as I can't find the original footage on YT. But I found to the quote a fairly reasonable internet explanation: The old Arabic word for "marriage" is more like a social bilateral contract for the partnership between two people and not necessarily describes a sexual relationship... Nowadays we probably call a bond as mentioned in the quoted hadith paragraph as a prepubescent godfather to godchild partnership. I can't see anything wrong in the Hadith paragraph mentioned, if you have enough background knowledge to understand, how it has to be read. Of course, child molester and abuser might try to read and use the Hadith in the context of their perverted habits ...
