As far as I know, Nupur Sharma only quoted "Hadith - Sahih al-Bukhari - Book of Marriage - bukhari: 5134" on Twitter, which reads: Narrated 'Aisha: That the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old. Hisham said: I have been informed that 'Aisha remained with the Prophet for nine years (i.e. till his death)." I don't know what Nupur added to the TV debate as it seems all the original footage on YT has been deleted. But I found a fairly reasonable explanation that the old Arabic word for "marriage" is more like a bilateral contract for the partnership between two people and not necessarily describes a sexual relationship... Nowadays we would probably call a bond as mentioned in the quoted hadith paragraph as a godfather to godchild partnership, right?!?
