@andrew_owens7680 We can also take what happened as a sign of how central the meaning of Koran (still ;) is. The book burner and knowledge hater could also read from his old pagan writings. But probably very few people would have been interested in this. By the way, your example of a ray of light reminds me of a nice quote from the Bible: Luke 11 : 33 "No one lights a lamp and puts it in a hiding place or under a basket, but on a lamp stand, so that those who enter may see its light.

And: "Orthodox Muslims" (at least as far as I've been told) anyway insist on oral transmission of the Koran instead of using written books.
