  1. Pretty much. A party or political group can quickly and easily ride a wave of sudden popularity if their political opponents are widely unpopular for a host of reasons such as disastrous policies, failures in crises, perceived scandals, etc. in the eyes of a great chunk of the citizenry.

  3.  @bratwurstler2647  Yes I am. The Democrats and Republicans dominate the political scene of the country so the Greens are relegated to political irrelevancy. Fun Fact: The Green candidate only won 0.2% of the votes nationwide in the 2020 election out of some 150-160 million votes cast.
