  1. Gia Turner The early 60s yes there was optimism and exuberance and hope for a better tomorrow. We had just elected a young, new president with boatloads of charisma and the idea of Camelot was swooing the nation. There was innocence but key word in the EARLY 60s, unfortunately that's going to change as the decade progressed to the point where you couldn't recognize this country at all from where it was in the start.
