  1. Hernando Malinche They broke international law as explicitly stipulated by the 1997 handover agreement! They were not supposed to legally infringe upon Hong Kong’s autonomy prior to 2047, yet they did with this national security law in an attempt to extend their authoritarian grip and deprive the citizens of this great city their civil liberties such as the ability to protest and assemble. Just look at the videos where they’re violently arresting peaceful protestors for evidence! Does that sound ethically right for you? Because let me tell you it is not! #FREEHK

  2. rsiow2 However, most protests we’re peaceful and even some of the ones that weren’t were not even started by the protestors but by the police, gangs, and violent agitators. And anyway, China wasn’t legally allowed as explicitly stated in the 1997 handover agreement under the motto, “one country, two systems” to infringe upon Hong Kong’s governmental autonomy. They’re essentially flouting international law in a direct attempt by the communist mainland government to extend their authoritarian grip that includes the deprivation of the rights that Hong Kongers cherish such as the right to protest and peacefully assemble with potential life sentences. With all due respect, does that sound like a nation that can be trusted on the international stage by the global community? A country that goes back on its word so obviously for everyone to see! This isn’t “decolonization” this is a direct and internationally recognized illegal takeover! #FREEHK
