@busg4729 Mate, I think your disregarding Germany there. Respectfully it’s not a competition. GDP per capita in Germany is 45.550 dollar. In the UK it is 41.602 dollar. Germany is an innovative industrial powerhouse, whereas the UK relies heavily on the financial services industry in London. The German industrial approach causes jobs and income to be spread more evenly over the country. Germany also has a far better welfare state than the UK. Healthcare in the UK is below par for the poorer people, but in Germany it is top notch for everybody. The UK is somewhat messy, due to the conservative reluctance to invest in things like infrastructure and the public domain in general. The Germans keep their country nice and tidy. I think the average German has a far better quality of life than the average Brit. But living in the UK is more fun. The UK is like the US, is has a terrible inequality problem. The rich get richer all the time and the poor are stagnating. In Germany that is far less the case.
