  4. Really? Do you know the size, experience, weaponry, tactical expertise, and sheer overwhelming numbers of the American armed services in comparison to their UK counterparts. The US has 430 active ships with I believe 10 aircraft carriers, the US has 5,047 manned aircraft, 1.3 MILLION ACTIVE DUTY SOLDIERS WITH ANOTHER 865,000 IN RESERVE, AND (YOU COULD EXPECT) THIS NUMBER CAN ONLY INCREASE WITH MILITARY CONSCRIPTION OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE DRAFT WHICH CAN HE IMPLEMENTED AGAIN AT A TIME OF CRISIS, The US are constantly thinking about creating better, advanced weaponry such as hypersonic missiles, better drones, and a new stealth bomber, and the US has more tactical experience in dealing with warfare compared to the UK acquired from their involvement in many wars. In a war scenario at most I would give the UK only about a year in a war, which also includes guerilla warfare.

  6. Times have changed, meaning that tactical planning and more advisable strategies are in place for these types of scenarios. Vietnam was a disgrace and what the Americans did to that poor country was horrid and catastrophic as we shouldn't have been there in the first place. However, the US has won most of its wars and I believe if one were to be fought against the UK things would be much, much different as we would crush its navy in no more than 3-5 days, crush its airforce, the RAF, by repeated and nonstop intense bombing and strafing in 1 week and 3 days with hundreds of American fighters and bombers, with its navy and airforce no longer a significant threat force it's way through an unexpected and lightly defended point on the coast, which will be detected through massive aerial surveillance, land there and drive directly towards London in search of a quick knockout blow scattering British armies along the way. At this time a group of American SEALS will parachute into Belfast and take control of the capital, effectively cutting off Northern Ireland from the UK. After the victorious American army drives into London they will then split up into two groups which 500,000 men each and they can fan out west towards Wales and north towards Scotland to cover more ground, as well as each group is equipped with hundreds of tanks and the newest of the line planes from American factories and manufacturers. The 500,000 Americans and their hundreds of tanks and planes will drive towards Aberhstwyth and city Wales into two parts then breaking up into two smaller groups 300,000 to attack southern Wales and drive towards Cardiff 200,000 to attack southern Wales and drive towards Caernarfon and Chester. The Americans would then send two parachute divisions to land and take Anglesey. With the campaign in Wales done the 480,000 Americans would then be transferred to help the 500,000 Americans approaching Edinburgh. They would give the Scots an ultimatum surrender your capital city or prepare for a hard fight. If the Scots surrender we march in peacefully they dont then the Americans would take it by force. After that the Americans would span out across the Scottish interior scattering armies and resistance fighters whilst taking concerning number of casualties. After several weeks of this the Americans will end up in Thurso and March in. At last they send four parachute divisions into Kirkwall. There would be a massive uptick in guerilla attacks so the Americans from from experiences would use the updated 2009 counterinsurgency manual to effectively quell it. To punish the English in their role in this war they would be forced to sign za humiliating treaty claiming full responsibility, having to pay 700 billion pound sterling, and would have to be forced to cede Northern Ireland to Ireland, lose Wales, and lose Scotland effectively losing its Europea empire, but it can still have its overseas empire. France would become America's friend and the Americans would have a massive military parade to celebrate their victory with dozens of tanks and planes and tens of thousands of troops. The campaign would have cost several four hundred billion dollars, lasted one year, lost 200 tanks, 75aircraft and about 32,000 casualties. The UK would have suffered 82,000 casualties, lost their entire navy, the RAF would have lost 95% of its aircraft, and a humiliating peace treaty. I'm just saying what I would think would happn.

But the facts are there the US has the upper hand in terms of technology, military numbers, and tactics gained from America's previous wars. If you do not want to face that reality fine but it is still there regardless of whether you want to see it or not.

  10.  @morgaholic  Different time and different politics, that was a disgrace and what the Americans did to that country was horrid and sickening. We shouldn't have been there in the first place. But in that time we have acquired new tactics, built up more advanced weaponry, and have developed a much much bigger military than the UK. No offense but I would give the UK no more than a year max.

  11.  @jasonfiore8182  The Americans have developed better tactical planning in dealing with guerilla warfare and insurgencies acquired from their involvements in Iraq and Afghanistan. They have an upgraded manual if you would like to read it.

We don't even have to make an immediate landing we could just bombard you with precision guided bombs and missiles for months if may be to reduce your forces effectiveness and shatter your morale. We would first obliterate your navy, your airforce, military installations, airports, etc for months and months if we have to. We have a massive, massive arsenal and with America's massive weapons manufacturers it wouldn't be difficult to constantly make them and eliminate your war industry. We could place tariffs/embargoes on trading with you so other countries not wanting to mess with the US will not deal with you and thus shatter your economy. And after that with our massively numerical superiority, advanced weaponry in tanks and planes, and battle tactics we could them invade and destroy whatever is left. The war ends, America has a massive military parade with tens of thousands of troops and dozens of planes/tanks, and the UK, more like England, is forced to sign a humilitating peace treaty is forced to take full responsibility for the war, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland find their independence meaning its European empire is crumbled, and they have to pay 400 billion pounds in reparation.

It's been the US for the past 50+ years that have dominated international politics and warfare and thus gotten far more experience to base it tactics on. Korea, Vietnam, Grenada, Panama, Iraq twice, and Adghanistan the US has been at the center of the warfare of the modern era and thus has acquired a vast arsenal of military experience to rely its knowledge upon. The UK' hundreds of years of warfare are outdated and obsolete in this time at this point in history.

The world has changed dramatically and your little so called "kingdom" or whatever is left of it is nothing compared to the awesome abilities of the great states of America. And Nazi Germany only lost because they had incompetent leaders and thankfully they did because if they hadn't you would have crumbled. I know my history and Hitler was on the verge of crushing the Royal Air Force until the Brits bombed Berlin and in a fit of anger he ordered the terror bombings of British cities and thus spared the RAF as the Germans attentions were largely diverted towards bombing. But if you dont know about your own nation's history that is just truly sad and depressing so I recommend that you know what your talking about before you actually write about it.

But we Americans know how to solve solutions and deal with crises and within this fight there are many, many more options of pursuit that could see the fall of the UK.

  19.  @JohnSmith-tx1mz  What you are describing is exactly what we, the Americans which you and I are, in the 20th century did to Iraq in the air campaign where we pounded their military and installations to the point where we effectively demoralized and disoriented their troops and took many captured prisoners in the ground campaign. Our victory in that war is largely attributable to the massive and successful air campaign. From there that translated into where we are now with our military's airforce where you basically just said it exactly how we can use cruise missiles and precision target bombing strikes to effectively shatter the enemy combatants and their various armed forces.

We have 430 powerful ships, including TEN OF THE MOST POWERFUL NUCLEAR POWERED CARRIER IN THE WORLD THE NIMITZ-CLASS CARRIERS, 1,356,929 active soldiers with 865,000 in reserve and THIS NUMBER COULD ONLY GO UP IF THEY REINSTITUTED THE DRAFT, and massive technological arsenals of the newest planes, upgraded tanks, and the new and more powerful Gerald R. FORD AIRCRAFT CARRIERS. Do you think you could honestly defeat us? Plus, we have more advanced tactics acquired from our involvement in so many recent wars.

  29.  @henryedge8914  Listen those recent involvements might not have been that successful but what I'm trying to say is that we have learned a lot from them as a result. And about those partisans/guerilla warfare have you checked out the upgraded American manual on how to successfully hamper their efforts because it is very comprehensive and indepth. Plus, technology has changed so much we could just use our massive sophisticated arsenal of precision guided missiles and bombs like we did in Iraq in 1991 for months if need be to shatter your forces, both guerilla and conventional, before even making ground assaults themselves. This will be a different type of war one that would inevitably see the defeat and probable break up of what is left of the United Kingdom and its overseas territories. But anyway were supposedly "key" allies and unless there is a major falling out you have nothing to worry about mate.

Even without tactics and just pure strength in a war like this America would come out victorious just by numbers alone.
