Mitford679 Don't forget CT. Trust me, lived here since I was five for twelve years--money doesn't go very far here.

Keith Jackson And Connecticut too!

Captain Sweden 🇸🇪 CT too! Why isn't it on here? I mean I still love my state regardless, just curious why it isn't here.
6
Trévon Pernell Don't forget CT too. Extremely high cost of living to the extreme!

alpha-pulchritudinous In CT too! It's very high and it's one of the states with the highest cost of living in the entire country with a lottttt of high taxes and surprisingly it wasn't on this list.

50StatesTraveler And CT too, I still love my state a lot just curious as to why it wasn't on here?

jon louis I know, I might be one of them.
3
raynell hobbs I thought CT would be too, but it wasn't.

Joe User I would have reason to agree- because CT should definitely be on this video! Our state is easily one of the highest taxed states in this country, easily.

Jeff olsen Agreed. It's so high, it breaks some of these records by these states. And only keeps getting higher, that's why thousands leave every year.

Mitford679 Well, that certainly is an aspect which is a smart observation because many people do do that but it's not the only thing about our state. Don't forget we have one of the slow population growth, an extremely high cost of living, and many people leaving rather than coming in because of well like I said the extremely high cost of living scares them off. But, there are amazing aspects of our state too like a great education system (I should know I am blessed with being at a great school with great teachers and good funding) and it's a great place to be raised in as a kid :) I love my state no matter what! GO CT!!!!!

alpha-pulchritudinous Yeah, your right! Considering leaving here for that reason, I love my state but with respect to it there's no future here---none whatsoever. The future now lies in the Sunbelt and in the west (at least for me, but for so many others as well as the geographic migration trends show.)

jon louis Same, I want too but I have to get my finances in order first. I'm thinking hopefully South Dakota as my target state to move to--but West Virginia, Nebraska, and Kansas are secondary options if SD doesn't work out. But SD is where I really, really want to move to.
2
Mark Smith I mean maybe in cost of living, but not in education or graduation rates or prestigious schools which Connecticans like me can be proud to call some of the best in the entire nation.

Raymond Ready As well as Connecticut. Way to high over here in my state and it only keeps getting higher, so unfortunate and it's just exorbitant.

StayClem Connecticut as well. It's way, way to much in my state and they only keep getting higher 😥😥

Crystalpepsi28 Ikr! I was raised here since I was five and I know they are high, like out of your mind high. It's ridiculous, but other than that I love the state especially its education system--- I love it and I think it's very informative and distinguishable from the other states.

Mike Cerretta Yep, I should know considering I live in CT. The taxes here are seriously, seriously just to much. Wayyyy to much.
