@MuantanamoMobile I heard of one guy that was an American citizen crossing into Ukraine to fight, that since he had been born in Ukraine that he would be considered Ukrainian regardless an wouldn't be allowed to leave again, but they gave him the choice to enter or not in the first place. He was then allowed to leave after getting injured on the front.

The whole thing is really an ad.

@jaytbo5676 This is just the story he told. The border gaurds that gave him that warning could have been mistaken, or he could have made the whole thing up This was very early on.

@PUARockstar He didn't go to Ukraine to live. He went there to fight for his homeland. He had cousins and aunts and uncles in Ukraine. I am pretty sure he said that they gave him citizenship in return for his service, but his immediate family was in the states. Actually the guy could have been Canadian, but I am pretty sure he was from the mid west in the states. And yes, the TBI could have effected his recall of events. Nothing in my post was suppose to be disrespectful towards Ukraine.

@Tore_Lund He won't be drafted, he has a tbi and was dismissed from service and came back to America. They didn't draft him, he joined voluntarily. He was warned he wouldn't be allowed to leave the country if he decided to not renew his contract, but he was injured on the front and released. Obviously they let him come back, they can't get the US to extradite him.

@shurely2559 You didn't even read my post. I am talking about an American citizen that went there to fight, he volunteered to fight. His only reason for going to Ukraine was to fight. Nothing in my posts were derogatory against Ukraine.

@noaoah3662 No sht, that's what I said in response to the other guy saying he could still be conscripted. I said the border gaurds told him while crossing in to volunteer that he wouldn't be able to get out of Ukraine if he changed his mind because he was born in Ukraine so he would be considered a Ukrainian and wouldn't be allowed out as a man. He went anyway and volunteered and was allowed out after recieving a tbi.
