  1. I have read that they dropped both anchors and where able to reverse the engine right before impact, but it didn't help. There where two Harbor Pilots on board, I am assuming at the helm.

  2.  @justinadamson3155  At that point I imagine they where trying to do anything they could right before they hit the bridge, but yeah it may prove to have made the impact on the pilling worse.
