@worldssickestmedia2713 You are right. Opoids only work for very short time periods. Anything more and you are making the problem much, much worse. Heck they don't even work after awhile, so it isn't treating anything. They make the pain worse in the long run.

@Steve-yo4ld They aren't native either, they came from Alabama and Georgia, they were originally creeks. The natives in Florida like the Calusa all died out from disease. And even they all came here from Asia. By that standard no humans are indigenous to any of the Americas.

@michelleshaw1211 I am not in good shape, like I said live hand to mouth. Just made it a priority to pay off a cheap house. Your not gonna be able to afford renting any longer without significant income. Rents insane, but that's a rent problem not a food cost problem.

I am poor and I struggle with a lot of things, but never food.actually I have to diet every couple of months or I would weigh 300 pounds. What are y'all eating, cavier? Or do you have a sht load of other bills? I don't have cable, wifi, only use 100 bucks worth of power a month and we own our house, which we paid 42k for in 2003. Sounds like y'all are trying to live above your means.

@goobon They are selling for about 100-150k, except for the mansions on the one waterfront road that are in the millions. You can get one of the old ones that's messed up for like 70k if you can beat the flippers to it. I realize I am lucky. I was renting about 15 years ago, and saw the writing on the wall. I moved in with my dad and took my life savings and paid off his mortgage. So I paid about half of the 45. It absolutely sucked moving in with a parent and paying for it to basically be told what to do and be looked down upon by everyone for not having an apartment. But had I kept renting I wouldn't be afford anything now, so I believe it was the right call.

Lot of people buy and own guns and use illegal drugs and never get in any trouble over it. Technically smoking weed in a legal state with a doctor's prescription could lead to the same charges hunter is faces, all though it is seldomly pursued unless someone in the government has a reason to target you.

I am a republican, but the Republican plan to double down on the war on drugs will only make the fentnyl problem worse. The only way to stop fentnyl is to legalize safe opoids for over the counter sale, have the government sell them, and spend all the money made on rehab for those ready to stop. Not methadone or Suboxone or any other permanent replacement either, those drugs are opoids. They are not cures, it's just another, more dangerous form of heroin. Slowly seen them off of whatever opoid they are dependent on. You will either reach a point were you are tired of the shitty dope life, or you will die. It's simple and it's the only way to fix the problem. Make it legal but extremely looked down upon. If you take it for pain or any reason you will be scorned as a juny, same as a drunk.

@Mike_H76 If you are on Benzoes that is an addiction. Quit taking them and see if you have a seizure. I have been addicted to it all and I can tell you Benzoes are every bit as bad as opoids. I use to use my anxiety as an excuse, but no one really needs to be on them for more than a few days. If your that bad off you need to be hospitalized so they can figure out what's wrong. Quiting is tuff, you gotta go through withdrawals and feel like death for about 6 months.

@worldssickestmedia2713 that's not exactly how it works. As your tolerance gets higher so does the threshold for a lethal dose. The dose that would kill you without a tolerance might not even get you high later into the addiction. Overdose often happens because you are always pushing it, trying to get as high as you can or you misjudge a dose or potency.

@worldssickestmedia2713 well that wasn't my experience. It started with trying get out of pain (kidney stones) but in the end it was about getting high. The thing about opoids is that the don't remove pain, they only get you high enough to not care about it. I was just saying the threshold goes up with tolerance.

@Steve-yo4ld I'll even go a step further. We have genetic evidence that in Africa, Europe, and Asia there were at least groups of early humans that interbreed with other closely related hominids. There is no evidence of any of the first nations of the Americas even encountering any other hominids after crossing the land bridge. This points to humans not evolving in the Americas at all. They arrived fully evolved.

You could own guns and have pictures of yourself smoking crack on your computer and wouldn't get charged unless you got caught with drugs or something. These aren't laws that are enforced all the hard, they need a reason to go after you to pursue those charges.

@rosesoulsby4472 I get beef and pork out of the dumpster behind the local grocery store. They cycle stock on Thursdays usually and freeze all the steaks and roasts and just throw them away. Haven't bought any meat in years but eat tbone and ribeye regularly. It's not spoiled either, I won't take it unless it's frozen and bright red. I am not judging, just saying you got to go out there and figure it out.
