They kind of do the same thing with Cubans in Florida. If they came make it to land they get stay.

@unclescipio3136 I think he used five Jerry cans. They got that part wrong because there were barrels in the background. A jet ski wouldn't be able to get on plane and pull even a single barrel like that, it wouldn't work.

@MrGeneralissimus they got that wrong. He would have only needed Jerry cans and you wouldn't be able to pull five barrels of fuel across an ocean with a jet ski.

@OffGridInvestor Yeah, but I am saying he didn't tow 5 of the 55 gallon drums stacked up behind him in the picture which is what they implied. He probably just strapped the cans onto the ski, I have seen it done before.
