Is Pride the root cause of all evil?
Of the Seven Deadly Sins, theologians and philosophers reserve a special place for Pride. Lust, envy, anger, greed, gluttony and sloth are all bad, the sages say, but Pride is the deadliest of all, the root of all evil, and the beginning of sin.
I would also put greed right up there with Pride; greed for more and more money, territory, natural resources and other things, and what also generates it to make it worst is the no feeling of being satisfied despite what they have and get, only to be fueled with the constant desire of wanting more.
