  10. It is not because we are 'old' to today's generation. It is a fact that music today purely and simply sucks. And it sucks big time; rap, dance hip hop, progressive and grunge alternative in today's mainstream music. Yes, in some certain degree I do agree about what older generations said about the music I grew up with back in the '70s and '80s; drugs, devil worshiping and sending a 'bad message' in songs like "We're not going to take it" to make us became rebellions. However, at least the music I grew up with rock and pop artists still had loads of talent with good signers and playing of music instruments. 'and' who wrote their own music. That is certainly not the case today. It's practically all done by computers now. Ever notice how the voices sound like computerized robots? That is called 'auto voice toning'. It is because many of these so-called artists today either cannot sing or have very bad voices or both that are toned out to make it different which are done by vocoders. And fact, ever notice how the music sounds? It too is computerized, not actual music instruments. This truly reveals the true severe lack of talent that mainstream music has today. Most of these no talented hackers cannot sing and/or know how to even play a music instrument at all. Their music is all done by computers. Long ago, going back to the 1980s there was a requirement by the music industry and record companies to have a certain amount of musical talent by bands to be accepted, playing the guitars, keyboards, drums and good singing. It appears now they have thrown that requirement entirely out the window. If they still had it, many bands and artists today will fail miserably and be denied. That would certainly make the music different by eliminating all the rubbish from mainstream music today done by those with no musical talent. They seriously need to bring such requirement back to rid of ourselves of this garbage on radio today. Fact, if these so called music artists were ever to compete with great legends and stars of rock and pop from the '60s to the '80s, it would be no contest at all. They would be completely embarrassed off the stage with bags over their heads. And another fact and it's a sad and pathetic one is most artists today are more into the money than the music. All their music is done by computers, no instruments. The attitude now is we don't need any music talent. They'll take us no matter what now that computers will do all the music. The music world too has gone into the same path as professional sports where they are more into the money than the sport. And worst, they too disrespect our flag and anthem. I'm talking about those who are mostly rap and dance hip hop artists. This is a generation of greedy people with lack of talent and disrespect. This is Generation Y (Millennials) and now the start of Generation Z. I thank the Lord that I'm not either one of these generations. I grew during the fun and great times of great music and television. Today it is all dead with no musical talent and reality rubbish and fake news on television. ** Everyone's "taste" and "choice" to music differs. I listen to stuff that irritates, annoys and makes people wonder why I listen to what I do...LOL. Some of it is too loud, some of it seems to depict "satanic stuff", some of it depicts violence, some of it depicts humor, some of it depicts a "nice message", some of it is a "sweet love song" or a comfort. Some of it is very "sexual" too. Not everyone likes Christmas carols, hymns or a lullaby. Depends on what they can relate it with or in a manner they can use it with like waltzes or swing dances. I personally can't handle opera. Depends on my mood or what I feel like listening to at that moment. Sometimes I don't want ANY music of any kind, not even whistling or humming. Some of that stuff can bust one's ear drums and some of it is a sharp squelch or squealing or makes people do a double take. Some of it does contain some pretty offensive lyrics and I've heard music is subliminal. It can make people depressed. It can make people mad or angry. It can make people aroused in some ways. Some really believe a "song" or "songs" is sending them a "message" to do something. It can be tranquil and yet it can be a form of disturbance to others. I like to have something with a "good beat" though and sometimes those songs do send out 'political' messages too. What's music to some is clearly noise and a nuisance to others, especially if it's sending VIBRATIONS or a pounding sound.**
