Along with foreign competition, political corruption, greed and outsourcing - death to the auto industry.

@mrq2044 Not now but appears they along with the state of California are going in that same path that ruined Detroit.

That is what I'm thinking too and a better, faster and cheaper way is just set them all ablaze to turn it all to ash, quicker to get it removed.

@fjordfjesta It's bad enough that many of these older cities have lead and mercury in their water along with the chemicals they add to it.

Or just set all those abandoned homes ablaze. Be faster and cheaper to move it as burned ash.

@m42037 Don't do it all at once, do it one or two blocks at a time.

@Wyldbutterfly028 It was both greedy corporations 'and' liberal Democrats and their policies that caused all of this along with foreign competition that all began back in the 1960's. Also do not forget CAFTA pushed by W. Bush who was a huge supporter of outsourcing.

Very soon the cities all along the west coast are going to look like this as more and more, especially California leave those cities and state.

Far beyond repair. Just burn them all and start from scratch.

That is really what they need to do is just set all these abandoned and decaying homes and business ablaze since it be both faster and cheaper removing the debris burned to ash than tearing them down one by one and costing $10K each home.
