The house I live, we're having a new floor done, taking out the carpet and putting in wooden and ceramic tiles. Near the center of the house, there are cracks in the foundation floor and once I saw that, sinkholes suddenly came into thought. I then began to check all doors to see if there are any miss aliments, appear to be very little or none and all open and close with no sticking. Checked rest of the floor and into the garage, no more additional cracks. Checked walls and no cracks found. Windows appear to be normal and are not sticking. Is this still something to keep alert about? I would think yes shoud more additional cracking occur and doors and windows are sticking.

@MichaelBordenaro I think it's kind of a 'false' alarm, at least right now. That is it is no cause of an alarm at this time though I'll sure keep an eye on it. I asked co-workers who lived here most or all their lives and said it is normal that floors crack because the soil is quite sandy and shifts therefore causes frequent cracks, though not real big and wide ones. The cracks currently are no bigger than 1/5 of an inch wide.

And yet majority of California still do.

I remember it very well and it made national news, have relatives living in other parts of the country asking me about it if his body was found. Since then I could not stop thinking about it since I live in Lakeland which is still a prone area.

A large $2.7 billion tax relief bill was passed and signed into law a month ago that at least gives property tax relief to all home owners. As for insurance, this is something that will be difficult tackle. And voting wisely? What would Gulliam have done if he were elected in 2018 or Chrisy (Charlie) Chist be doing?? We would have become what California is today!

Now it's legal to break into and rob stores up to a grand. Same thing with breaking into cars and even your home.

Still got 200,000+ moving here annually, practically all from liberal run states where high crime/lawlessness, taxes and hyper cost of living is. I been living here for 13-14 years and seen some of the growth here in Polk County, but still like living here. I'm originally from Illinois and so glad that I'm no longer there. As for reasons for not moving here, that would be the Miami area, cost of living indeed has gotten pricy and not to mention some of the scars left behind from the bloody drug wars back in the 1980's when drug lords from South America were trafficking and smuggling narcotics from Columbia and Peru. Still got some of that there.

Also sheer lawlessness, now legal to ransack and rob stores up to $1,000.
