Couple days later stayed at Billings at a Motel 6, "We'll leave the light on for you." After that drove east into South Dakota in the way back home, but stopped at Mount Rushmore and the Badlands.

  23. The house I live, we're having a new floor done, taking out the carpet and putting in wooden and ceramic tiles. Near the center of the house, there are cracks in the foundation floor and once I saw that, sinkholes suddenly came into thought. I then began to check all doors to see if there are any miss aliments, appear to be very little or none and all open and close with no sticking. Checked rest of the floor and into the garage, no more additional cracks. Checked walls and no cracks found. Windows appear to be normal and are not sticking. Is this still something to keep alert about? I would think yes shoud more additional cracking occur and doors and windows are sticking.

  24. Ā @MichaelBordenaroĀ  I think it's kind of a 'false' alarm, at least right now. That is it is no cause of an alarm at this time though I'll sure keep an eye on it. I asked co-workers who lived here most or all their lives and said it is normal that floors crack because the soil is quite sandy and shifts therefore causes frequent cracks, though not real big and wide ones. The cracks currently are no bigger than 1/5 of an inch wide.

  27. I been there number of times, go there to crash at the casinos, something I been doing since 2000. I still remember what it looked like just before and after Katrina slamming into it. Before Katrina, there were a number of homes and few businesses within blocks of the shore. After, those homes and businesses were gone, leaving many blocks half empty. Many still are today when I was there in 2021. Also remember the Grand Casino and Isle of Capre before Katrina. Both are now gone, but came Golden Nugget and Harrah's. And yes, the beaches. Go there to relax and wade in the water when not at the casinos.

  52. One part of the state you must go to and that is Door County which is the pennisula that goes out in northern Lake Michigan. It is a very high tourist area, famous for cherries and for very good reason; cherry pies, syrup, juice, jam, wine....you name it! Also because of it being surrounded by water, boating, fishing and swimming is popular, fish boils for dinner are well known at the many resturants there. Apple growing and maple syrup is big there too. If wanting to go cherry picking, July is the time to do it. I was just up there last year in July, but didn't cherry pick. I stopped at a place called Wood Orchard Market on Highway 42 in Egg Harbor and it sells everything made from cherries and much more. Also sells apple syrup and pies. I bought as many as I could to bring home to last a least a year, 9 jars of cherry jam, 10 bottles of cherry syrup, 1 bottle of apple-cinnamon syrup, 2 bottles of cherry juice and a box of cherry donuts. Wow. Nothing like this place.
