You are such a trickle down republican Styx.  Didn't the Olympics make a pile of money for Brazille?  Didn't that bolster their economy?  If not why not?  Again I will ask you Styx name one instance of privatization that resulted in a better product for a cheaper price? Isn't a guaranteed income a form of socialism?  As far as moral policing many times pressure from private industry leads to moralizing legislation in order for them to reap higher profits.  Like fat shaming, tobacco taxing and helmets for kids on bicycles in order to reduce the risks for insurance companies.  But I am thinking you are talking about workplace safety and wage regulations that need to go. Glad to see you put a shirt on today.  But that's just me.

I was alive when they broke up Ma Belle, that did nothing to advance telephone or radio.  Cars, and food:  here in the USA the auto industry and corporate agriculture receive more money than people on welfare and food stamps, but slightly less than Israel receives for arms. And by the way Ma Belle has a bigger monopoly today than she did before they broke her up.
