  1. Many of the shooters were over 21, and none used bump stocks that I know of, or even semi automatic weapons. A few did, but by no means the majority. Background checks wouldn't have stopped Adam Lanza his mother bought the guns and many others wouldn't have been ruled out by background checks either.
