I never understood why it was necessary. If boys needed to be circumcised I am guessing they would be born that way. It's like docking dog's tails, makes no sense when every puppy in the species is born with a long tail. The excuse by dads that they want their sons to look like them is stupid. Maybe circumcision is the "mark of Cain". Never thought about it before but since it seems to be a religious fixation maybe it is....
