They think we are stupid! I wonder if Charley Pride had a DNR. Seems most of the covid dead have signed DNRs. He was sent to hospice to die from the ICU. My dad died from the flu in 1998. He was missing part of one lung and had a heart condition, caught the flu from my brother. I took him to the ER when he became delirious and had trouble breathing. I thought he was safe. So I went home to catch a couple of hours of sleep. Been up with him for days. When I came back they had talked him to signing a DNR, moved him to "step down" care and took him off antibiotics, fluids and nutrients. He died four days later. They tried to transfer him to a resthome so that his number wouldn't be on their books, but the resthomes refused to take him. DNR doesn't just mean no resuscitation. It means no care but morphine so you don't panic and cause problems. Funny thing no one wore a mask or used ppe back then. Not a nurse or doctor wore any protection during his care. They apparently weren't concerned with spread of a virus.
