  2. Calling for a bill or amendment is different than rewriting the Constitution. I don't want people like Cenk, Hillary or Donald rewriting the Constitution. In fact I don't want the Constitution rewritten. And today's congress are the worst people to be put in a position to rewrite it since the majority are owned by their donors. Get the money out first, before you call for a constitutional convention. I marched for the ERA and I am still saddened that the states of Carter, Clinton and Obama couldn't see it through to ratify it . It would be law today if they had. Most "republican states" did ratify it. "Section 1. Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of sex. Section 2. The Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article. Section 3. This amendment shall take effect two years after the date of ratification." Why couldn't the states of three sitting democratic presidents ratify that? Did anyone ever ask those presidents what they found objectionable about that amendment? Want to change the constitution amend it. Open up a Constitutional Convention today and the USA will end up a Christian theocracy. I don't want that. Does Cenk?
