  1. These people seem to be unaware that employees contribute to unemployment. This isn't a freebie. I think Corporate bosses and employers also need to be tested along with congress. The purpose originally of making drug testing normal was for safety reasons. Unemployed people aren't doing jobs that require them handling money or heavy equipment. It was supposed to reduce insurance costs...nothing ever seems to reduce insurance costs. Those bankers that were bailed out...were they drug tested?

  2. It's considered part of your compensation. You are compensated by the number of quarters you have worked.

  3. Dan I misspoke on that. I haven't been employed for twenty years after being injured on the job and not being able to find another one. At one time workers in California did directly contribute. I guess they don't anymore. But I don't find that surprising wages have been stagnant for decades now. I am guessing now employers and the 01% not only want a repeal of the estate tax, they don't want to provide unemployment insurance anymore. Nice for them not so great for the working man.
