  3.  @mortykatz2236  maybe I got my dates wrong. Or maybe it seemed like the recession lingered on. They do. I just remember I was in my twenties with my first real job. Hoping to get ahead, and I saw my small rural community being sold off to Japanese interests. Farmland, ranches even businesses like grocery stores. I was kind of amazed when they later entered a recession. Their foreign purchases didn’t seem to protect them financially. Sorry for all the edits still trying to wrap my head around it. Not an economist and trying to make it partisan.
