you are very right about the hand washing - seems to be the only thing that all the science agrees on. masking hasn’t been shown to be effective anywhere, especially amongst health care professionals who are trained in their use.

@diamond-yw6vn the directions on a bottle of bleach say to apply a solution to a surface and let it sit for 10 minutes. instructions for hand washing say lots of soap and water and count to 20. i’m not sure a wee dab of alcohol goo and a quick rub are really doing anything. touching your face is a baddy. show me one person in a mask who isn’t playing with it, or touching their eyes. this could be why masks don’t work, but this is how people are going to be using them. in the old days it was easy. if you were sick, you stayed home. washed you hands lots, lots of fluids, and rest. we might yet come full circle.

@diamond-yw6vn if we were serious about doing something, i think this would be a good step. it’s called ‘being guided by science’, something sorely lacking with most interventions.
