I tend to think it is Russia because it limits the Ukraine offesive that has begun in ernist.

@yurichtube1162 I don't know for sure but I suspect it was Russia. Reason being is that the wold's greatest Ukrainian millatary offensive has begun in ernist and flooding along the river limits Ukraine supply and retreats and limits the line of contatct to the west... Ukraine lost hudreds of tanks on the line of contact as well as about a thousand personel... The offensive was toward Maropol.

I tend to think that Russia made the breach in the dam because the much vaunted Ukraine offfesive has begun and they wanted to limit the line of contact and confuse Ukrainain supply lines.

As the Ukrainian greatest millatary offensive has begun I tend to believe that Russia did it to limit the line of contact and complicate Ukrainain supply lines to Southern Ukraine where the offensive is in process.

Too soon to tell but I think it is Russia.

@Ben Moha I agree that Russia can't afford much in the way of bad PR.... My feeling is that Russia blew up the dam for the reasons I outlined.... You got to figure that their industrial output is so strong that they can re-tool the turbines with an upgrade as well.

@DannyKa-x8z Perhaps.... I don't really know the flow rate that they can get from those kinds of actions.... It is posssible that was not the best option.... If it was possible then that would negate my pet theory...

@neilsaunders6009 Is it OK to have a thesis or an intial hunch? Or are you an asshole that don't want to think about this and should probably do something that doesn't require any thought?

@goodlife6277 I did some research on this... Flooding by breaching the dam certainly chages the battle field but it doesnt' seem to give the Russians any more of an advantage than they already have....

@augustsnowfall5189 I had a hunch it was the russians because it may have given them an advantage during the most historic military offensive in history..... I have anotehr presenter that showed a map of Ukraine..... I was not famillar with where the dam was..... After looking at the battle field assesment as well as where possible tactical consintrations of stuff like weapons, my assment is that blowing up the dam dosesn't seem to give either the Russians or the Ukrainians any decerable advantage.... It seems as if blowing up the dam was to divert attention away from the world's greatest military advance in the existance of mankind.

Maybe they needed to upgrade the dam anyway.... The Ukrainain offensive has begun in ernist and the temporary flooding complicates supply line issues for Ukraine and temporarily limits the line of contact.

@dantronics1682 The war stops when Russia gets it's security guarintees.... Who wan'ts to revist this issue in ten years?

@yurichtube1162 The query is to who's advantage is the breach? Another query is 'could this be done without cracking up the electrical ifrastructure? I seem to be resistant to the idea that it was Ukraine who did it.

@yurichtube1162 Perahps it is like a Bolgrod distraction.... In other words it is possible that Ukraine destroyed the dam because the world's greatest millatary offensive hasn't been as successfull as Ukraine had hoped and they want people to focus on the dam and not the greatest offensive ever. It is also possible that one can release cantostrphic quantities of watter from a dam without destroying it's hydro electric capacity.... Russia has been substantially prepaired for a huge innudation of watter in the region. Ukraine is having difficult problems with supply in the region as well.... My resistance to the idea that it is possible that Ukraine breached the dam is waining..... I think it is Russia who gains advantage but I don't know all the details.
