  3.  @daviddoink872  Deficit spending on things like infrastrucure to bring down the price of labor would make Europe more competitive for instance. The idea that they have to sell bonds to make that happen is a hold over from the days when gold was used as a medium of exchange. The issuer of a fiat currency doesn't actually have to pay it back, they can just issue more. In the current cliamte where countries are paying for gambeling money to strip economies of their value and for the rich to own overvalued assets, it is unlikely that will happen now. It will probably have to wait for a crash.
